Local Shades and Blinds MetroWest is the manifestation of a long-held dream by owner Tom Anderson and his wife, Victoria.  Growing up in Sudbury, Tom worked alongside his father in the family tile business, Anderson Tile Contracting – remodeling kitchens, bathrooms, foyers, and more – all over the MetroWest.  After graduating high school, Tom went on to Boston College where he studied law, but ultimately decided that he would really like to work towards owning his own home services business like his father before him.  His wife, Victoria, had come from a similar background, with her father running their own general construction company in Camden, Maine, so the vision for their future really came into focus on a business where they could use their skills and knowledge to serve, as their families had, in their local community.

Tom’s career has primarily been in customer-focused sales of building materials, while most of Victoria’s working years have been spent in radio and television advertising.  They have two young sons, Miles and Wes, whom Tom has coached in soccer, baseball, and wrestling.  Based on Tom and Victoria’s collective experience in observing and managing projects, they determined early on that clear and responsive communication would be a key tenet of this business, as they believe that a project’s success relies upon all parties understanding what is desired and what is possible.  They love meeting new people from the area and stand ready to help with your project, so please don’t hesitate to reach out and connect – they look forward to speaking with you!
